Front Runner
The front runner is an underdog because they are not expected to win the race. Here is the thing though, a front runner is one who takes risk. They bet on themselves. They run their race. They run to win. In this podcast, I will be interviewing friends who are Front Runners. Not in the literal track and field sense but the underdogs who dared to take risks, who bet on themselves, who are determined to run their own race. Who run to WIN. They lead from the front and as they say in track and field they leave it all on the track.

In this episode of Front Runner Podcast, in this series from his live show Beautifully Imperfect, Isaiah shares his spoken word piece “Come to the Altar.” Rooted in 2 Corinthians 4:7–10, this poem reminds us that though we are jars of clay—fragile, flawed, and often broken—we carry within us the surpassing treasure of Jesus Christ. In a world that leaves us afflicted, perplexed, and struck down, the altar is where we bring our pain, our imperfections, and our questions, and discover that we are never crushed, never abandoned, and never destroyed. This piece is both an invitation and a reminder: the altar is not the end, it is the beginning of hope.

In this episode of Front Runner Podcast, in this series from his live show Beautifully Imperfect, Isaiah shares his spoken word piece “Manhood Unveiled.” Born out of wrestling with cultural and church messages about what it means to be a man, this piece dismantles the myth that strength means never being weak. Isaiah opens the door to a deeper truth—that we are not Christians because we are strong and self-sufficient, but because we are weak and in need of a Savior. Vulnerability is not failure; it’s the very space where God’s power is made perfect. Manhood Unveiled is a raw invitation for men (and women) to embrace weakness as the pathway to grace.

In this episode of Front Runner Podcast, in this series from his live show Beautifully Imperfect, Isaiah shares his spoken word piece “The Fall.” Before we can embrace the beauty of imperfection, we must first face the reality of sin. This piece wrestles with the weight of our brokenness, reminding us that imperfection points us to the only One who is perfect—Jesus. Through Scripture and raw honesty, Isaiah uncovers the tension of a world that demands perfection yet condemns weakness, and points us to the cross where grace meets our failure. The Fall is both a confession and a declaration: we are fallen, but not forsaken.

On this seemingly paradoxical day, we grapple with the notion of ‘good’ in the face of an innocent life taken. But it’s precisely in this sacrifice, this selfless act, that we find the profound depth of God’s love for us.His nail-scarred hands tell a story of love beyond comprehension. He bore our transgressions, embraced our guilt, and offered us redemption. His suffering on the Cross wasn’t an end but a bridge back to grace, back to Eden.Despite the jeers, the mockery, and the cruel methods of His crucifixion, He breathed His last with words of triumph: ‘It is finished.’ Every promise fulfilled, sin defeated. The very breath that spoke life into existence was willingly surrendered for us. And just as the grave couldn’t hold Him, neither can our sins define us.Today, we remember His perfect sacrifice. The crown of thorns, once a symbol of mockery, now stands as confirmation of His divine purpose and identity.Let this day remind us that no matter our past, our baggage, or our sins, it’s the Pilot who secures our landing place. Through His sacrifice, we are freed, redeemed, and given hope eternal. So, why is this day called GOOD? Because an innocent man died so that we might truly live. Let us bow in gratitude and proclaim His kingship, for His Kingdom alone shall stand.
